Publisher Chorus Worldwide has announced Mothmen 1966, a visual novel that features classic 8-bit personal computer-style visuals to tell a story inspired by mid-20th century pulp fiction. It will launch on Switch on July 14th for $8.99 / €7.99 / £6.79.
Developed by LCB Game Studio, the game will be the first in a planned series and tells the story of an investigator, a gas station owner and a loving couple as they investigate the case weird Mothmen in the woods of West Virginia.
Gameplay will involve making dialogue decisions and actions via on-screen text, inspired by classic “choose your adventure” stories with various puzzles punctuated throughout.
