MPC advertising will be integrated under The Mill brand

NEW YORK — With ambitions to become the world’s largest creative visual arts company, Technicolor Creative Studios has announced the integration of award-winning VFX studio MPC Advertising with its sister brand The Mill, to create a global network of studios .

The new consolidated studio will be led by Josh Mandel, former CEO of The Mill, who will assume the new role of President of Advertising at Technicolor Creative Studios. The Mill’s existing studios in London, Berlin, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Bangalore will be combined with MPC Advertising’s studios in London, Amsterdam, Paris, Shanghai, New York and Los Angeles.

As a market-leading brand, the expanded studio will focus on three core business offerings in the advertising and brand experience markets: visual effects, creative production and brand experience.

2022 will be a year of investment and international growth for The Mill, with new studios in Seoul and Shanghai as well as expanding European operations in Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam. By integrating MPC advertising into The Mill and launching new studios, The Mill will create new jobs and expand its creative offering, ensuring that no talent is lost through the integration of the two brands.

The factory has already looked to the future, investing heavily in new, immersive and interactive production technologies. As the market rapidly expands into new areas such as Realtime Production and The Metaverse, the combination of the two studios will foster the sharing of talent, knowledge and expertise needed to drive innovation for Mill’s customers.

This is the next phase of Technicolor Creative Studios’ transformation strategy, with additional changes across the gaming, animation and feature film business.

Josh Mandel will join fellow Technicolor Creative Studios brand presidents, Tom Williams – President of MPC VFX, Andrea Miloro – President of Mikros Animation and Jeaneane Falkner – President of Technicolor Games.

The structural changes will be rolled out in January 2022, with the rebranding of MPC Advertising as The Mill effective immediately.
